Visiting our Showroom

We are open to the public with no appointment needed.

In prepping to come in there are some ways you can help us help you.  We are here to help you find something that YOU love.  We will happily share what we like and will highly encourage you if we think it really doesn’t go together.   We will share our logic and reasoning.  Ultimately though, it is your decision and money to spend.

  • Bring photos of the areas that you are tiling.  This could include the bathroom from a few different angles.  If you are doing a kitchen backsplash, not just the area doing but if you have an open floor plan, what you can see looking out from your kitchen.

  • Bring photos or samples of any items that you already have – either existing or new items selected.  This may include:

    • Your counters

    • Cabinet colors

    • Paint colors

    • Flooring

    • Fixtures

    • Lighting

    • Anything else you think is important – that painting that you love, the heirloom piece . . .

  • Have you been looking on Houzz and Pinterest or did you see something you loved at a model home or a friend’s place?  Bring in those photos too.

  • Information on how much you need and when.  While this isn’t critical, but it can help us make sure you don’t fall in love with something that we won’t be able to get in the timeframe that you need.

  • Do you need an appointment?  No, but you are welcome to make one.  We do our best to focus on one client at a time, but we are a small showroom so may have to juggle more than one client.  Many times, clients like a little break from us to ponder, think and discuss.

What to Expect During the Visit?

  1. We can show you things that meet your criteria.

  2. We play the game “Do you like this one or that one better?”  We have found that breaking the decisions down into smaller – simpler choices take away the overwhelming nature of a home improvement project.

  3. We lay out tiles.  We put floor tiles down on the floor and put the wall tiles right up next to it so you can see how they work together.  No more squinting and trying to visualize on your own.

  4. We will always try to start with items that we consider stock before showing you into special order.

  5. While everyone is balancing a budget for a project, we start with making sure you love it.  We can talk through the selection process the differences in pricing, but in many cases we can adjust the design to still get you what you love.

  6.  We can help with not just with the tile but grout colors, how to best finish the edges, storage options in the shower, design, layout, care and maintenance.

  7. Some clients can decide in one visit.  Some need to take samples home.  We are happy to support whatever your process needs to be.

Sample Process

We try to make it easy.  We take down your name, phone number, and email address and check out the samples.  We just ask that you bring them back when you are done.  Special order samples are ones that we ask you to bring back as quickly as possible as we typically only have 1 piece or sample board.

Stock versus Special order

We are in a unique position that we stock material locally!

Tile - This does not mean that everything that we stock is in stock in our showroom.  We go to our warehouse a couple of times a week and bring it to our showroom for pick up.   On occasion we are out or do not enough of the item for your project in our warehouse and we order it in for you.  Many items are sourced from the US, so it is only 1-2 weeks.

Stock items that are sold in full boxes and can be returned in full boxes within 4 months.

Setting materials, grouts, caulks, transitions edges (Blanke), heated floors, spacers, tools,  shower pan kits, GO board, niches, sealers and cleaners we try to keep in stock in our showroom.  These are bought and sold by the each.

Special order items

We work very closely with suppliers, manufacturers and vendors in the US to offer robust programs to be able to get you these items at a great cost in a 1-2 week time period.  Sometimes additional shipping charges will apply.  We pass this cost along to you at the exact cost that the vendor charges us.  Freight costs are not taxed, so we separate out that expense.    Special order items are not returnable in any timeframe.
